About us
At Heilsuferð (health trip), we believe that taking care of your health should be a comforting, enjoyable, and enriching experience. Our mission is to make medical travel simple, safe, and rewarding for people in Iceland by connecting them with the exceptional healthcare services and relaxing atmosphere that Sopron, Hungary has to offer. Our facilities are located close to the Austrian border and we are very easy to reach from Vienna International Airport (55 minutes) and Bratislava Airport (1 hour 15 minutes).
Heilsuferð was founded in 2024, by a couple with roots in both Iceland and Hungary:
“After living in Iceland for several years, we moved together to Sopron, where we quickly grew to love its natural beauty, warm hospitality, and high-quality medical care. As we settled into our new life, we realized how much Sopron could offer to visitors seeking both wellness and relaxation.
That idea became Heilsuferð.
We set out to build a bridge between the two cultures—helping Icelanders access trusted medical professionals while enjoying a comfortable, stress-free stay abroad.
